1/25/2024 0 Comments 86 ford eec iv pinout diagramI still don't know what DS 3 is or what makes up that system and it was used in California models. That is why I said I have 2 different systems in my Bronco. From what I know which is little is that the only thing on my Bronco that supports Duraspark is the EEC III that I have and everything else doesn't. That is why I asked what a 84 Bronco Cailfornia model would have in it. I understand that someone could have replaced some parts on the front and I could have the wrong tag. From my research so far TFI is the distributor with the ICM bolted on it with the square coil and that is what I have. The book you talked about does it list what Ford used in their California models for 1984? I talked to Ford and they don't have anything that far back. As I said the tag says I should have a EEC IV with a feed back carb and that is all I know in regards as what should be there. The book covers everything from early Duraspark though EEC III, EEC IV and OBDII.I just reread your reply and I would say that I am confused as what I should have as a complete system. I forget who wrote it but I ll look it up and let you know. I have a great reference book for Ford's ignition and engine control systems called aptly enough Ford Fuel Injection. Obviously I can't be of much more help to you. I'd sure like to know what parts were used and how the setup looked. Its gotta be a strange hybrid of the two systems (EEC III & IV) Duraspark parts aren't likely to even be present in that setup.
